Our first gel stick foundation with an anti-shine core
Fresh gel foundation blends to a flawless matte finish
Lightweight powders in the anti-shine core instantly dissolve excess oil

Pleasantly surprised. I was really skeptical when I bought this foundation initially. I love trying drug store brands for fun because they’re cheaper and good to have on stand-by.

Obviously, the foundation comes in a stick, so I was a little confused as to how I was going to apply and blend it. Fingers? Sponge? Brush?

Well the Maybelline site suggests yes, I stalk all the brand websites for new products that you apply the stick directly to the face then blend with your fingers. However, I did apply it liberally and directly to my face, I blended it into my skin with a Real Techniques stippling brush. I painted stripes all over my face then swirled the stippling brush all over until the foundation blended into my skin.

I was nervous about the color but once I actually used the product, I loved how well it matched my skin.

I then added Maybelline’s AgeRewind concealer as a highlight to add dimension. Here’s a picture down below.

So far, I genuinely love it. The coverage is great. It’s medium to full coverage, very blendable and buildable. The finish is semi-matte and stays true to its claims of standing up to shiny, oily skin.

It’s only $8.99 and worth a try. The color is used was 330 Toffee. Go try it.

And yes, Mackenzie, it can be used as a concealer stick 🙂
