My Review:

I was initially skeptical of giving this sheer, light-weight foundation a try. I am a full coverage girl, but I’ve always respected the Smashbox brand and can not think of a product of theirs I did not like. The color I have on in the pictures is number 8. It is actually a shade too dark but because the foundation is so sheer, it is easy to blend and adjust to my skin tone.

I was weary of how the dewy finish would fair with my excessively oily skin. To my surprise, the foundation stayed true to it’s “long-wear” claims, and managed to make it through the day without my pores eating it alive.

I tried two different application methods, one using a Real Techniques stippling brush, and the other being the new Real Techniques miracle blending sponge that I shall review, as well. I don’t actually prefer one over the other. Both applications seem to bear the same results.

My only gripe is more so with the packaging than the actual formula. The pump on the bottle is very stiff and takes several tries to get the adequate amount of foundation I was looking for. This also seemed to make me feel like I was wasting product. but that could very well be just my imagination

Bottom Line:
The foundation is great if you are looking for a lighter coverage, with a dewy glow. It comes in ten shades, and the lighter coverage makes color matching more flexible. This is something I’d save for summer, or days I want to ease up on the cake face.

If you try you, I want to hear about it!
